LEAD GIFT, NEW NAME MOVING #OURTRAIL TOWARD THE FINISH LINE

Greenways Trail Alliance is pleased to announce that the trail will have a new name. In honour of a joint gift from two generous families, our trail will now be officially include Markin-MacPhail. The naming recognizes the Markin and MacPhail families total joint contribution of $500,000 donated towards the construction of the trail.

“We are pleased to be able to support this wonderful new trail that will benefit so many people in the Columbia Valley and beyond. Construction to date looks fantastic and we are happy to be contributing to its completion. Everyone should give it a try and enjoy the view and the experience.” says Allan Markin and Keith MacPhail.

“We are incredibly grateful to these two philanthropic families who have stepped up in such a significant way to support our trail. I also want to thank everyone who has donated so far – together we are making this a reality” says Bob Shaunessy, chair of the fundraising campaign.
