Construction resumes on the Westside Legacy Trail

 In News

As the snow begins to melt and the temperatures increase, construction on the Westside Legacy Trail resumed with a large stockpile of gravel being placed for construction.  “We hauled right up until the road ban came into effect” said Mark Halwa, “and now we have a lot of gravel to work with during the seasonal load restrictions”.

Last October, the first six kilometers of the Westside Legacy Trail was paved, allowing residents and visitors just a taste of what the full trail will offer. The feedback we received was tremendous, and we’re excited to be paving further towards Fairmont Hot Springs.

Reminder: New areas of the WLT are live construction zones. For your safety, please obey signage and do not enter areas where crews are working.
