Help Finish the Trail – Announcing a Matching Program
The Markin-MacPhail Westside Legacy Trail IS our trail. It was conceived by volunteers and land owners who saw the value of this trail to everyone – to each other, to visitors – to share the natural beauty of the Valley and connect communities.
The first 4 segments of Our Trail are complete – 10km of paved trail (Segments 1-4), Segment 5 is rideable and prepped for paving; that’s 6 more km, and clearing has begun on the remaining 2 segments. Contingent on securing funding, Our Trail will be completed in the 2019 construction season! And we will have a one-of-a-kind 25km paved trail.
The generosity of over 900 donors has raised $5.8 Million so far – and several of those donors have stepped up again to double your donations.
Matching Program
Thanks to members of our fundraising committee, the first $70,000 donated in December will be matched!
The first $70,000 in donations will be matched, $ for $, doubling the impact of your gift. Our Trail has been a team effort from the start – visionaries, volunteers, advocates, donors, grantors, event participants, volunteers, suppliers, local and Provincial government have come together to open the trail. And this program is no exception.
