Bringing a selection of culturally rich, adventure-packed and incredibly inspiring documentary films, the public showing of the Telluride’s Mountainfilm on Tour promises to showcase some truly awe-inspiring films. Greenways is pleased to announce the Tour is coming to Invermere for the first time on February 10th and we invite you to join us for an evening of culturally rich, adventure-packed, and incredibly inspiring short films from this long-running (since 1979) film festival in Colorado. Mountainfilms mission is to use the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world. All the proceeds from the Mountainfilm on Tour event will go towards completion of the Westside Legacy Trail.

Join us at 5:30 for the opening reception with pizza plus beer and wine, the screening starts at 7:00pm.

Telluride’s Mountainfilm on Tour Invermere is generously bringing their film festival (free of charge) directly to the eyes and minds of the next generation, with two presentations on Friday February 9th at JA Laird and David Thompson SS. The Mountainfilm Tour focuses on compelling educational and inspiring short films, which target themes that are timely and regionally relevant, to inspire the younger generation to go outside! This event has been co-ordinated with Cheryl Lenardon from the local School District.

10:15am – grades 4 to 7 – Students from JA Laird, Canal Flats, Windermere, and Edgewater.
11:25am – grades 8 to 11 – Students from David Thompson SS
