OFFICIAL TRAIL OPENING SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 18/19

Thanks to everyone who is making the Markin-MacPhail Legacy Trail a reality, we are pleased to announce that the Official Opening is scheduled for September 18 and 19. While work will continue into the Fall, we are on schedule to be paved from end to end, and with amenities in place by September 18/19.

It’s time to celebrate and officially open the trail!

The team is working on a plan to ensure everyone stays safe by planning a combination of in-person and virtual activities. The great news is that we have 25 km of trail to spread out on as we celebrate together!

Mark you calendars for Saturday, September 19 to come and walk or ride the Trail. We will have drones flying, photographers and videographers dispersed along the entire length of the Trail to take photos and capture video of the first official day. More details will follow – stay tuned!
