Segment 2 – Salter Creek

Segment two, named Salter Creek, is built entirely on private land and is the most remote trail segment, located hundreds of meters away from Westside Road. It begins with a 400 meter gentle downhill grade before crossing Salter Creek where Mountain Whitefish and Redside Shiner exist. After crossing Salter Creek, there is a short climb towards a large open area where fabulous views of the eastern Rocky Mountain range become visible, just before arriving at a picnic area at the second highest point along the trail. Hang on for a downhill rush towards Brady Creek where the widest bridge along the trail is located. This segment is 3.4 kilometers long and built upon land donated by Shaunessy Ranch Ltd.
